No World of Warcraft Exploits Evident...Yet

Yesterday the World of Warcraft community were up in arms after reports of item duping on the game's servers. Numerous screenshots were released showing the auction house spammed with similar items and a few sites were carry details on how to take advantage of the exploit to gain more items or gold. This obviously caused a ruckus as gold farmers were said to be taking advantage of the problem which was causing realm stability issues. Blizzard have been taking their servers up and down for the past 24 hours which may be evidence they've been busy fixing things on the quiet.

Blizzard were silent on the duping subject until this morning when a Blizzard Europe Representative finally gave the community an answer on what's been going on.

We appreciate and share players' concerns about a possible dupe exploit, and we're continuing to investigate the matter thoroughly.

However, at this time, we do not show any legitimate evidence of duping currently taking place or having taken place for as far back as we've checked.

Should any actual duping methods be confirmed, we will take the appropriate action in regard to the game and to any characters and accounts found to have been used with such an exploit.

Concerning a possible rollback: This is just a rumour!

Obviously this is not a definitive yes or no on the subject of duping items so players will have to wait and see what transpires in the coming days.

To keep abreast of the situation, keep checking WorldofWar.net
