Hellgate Patch This Week

To say it's been a bumpy ride for Flagship Studios' first game would be an understatement. With more bugs than an ant farm, the game has come under fire since it was released at the start of the month. There is light at the end of the tunnel though and the development team have been working hard to get patches out since the game's release with another new patch  planned this week.

Being dubbed the 0.6 patch, this update fixes a bug that really annoyed us here, invisible team mates. You would enter a zone and your buddy would simply dissapear making it impossible to play together unless you reset the zone by leaving and reentering. Other fixes include a texture memory leak and the very annoying random teleportation bug. (see full notes).

The main crisiticism of the game has been the bugs, as highlighted in our review, but there could be a chance for this game yet. It has all the elements to be a really fun game so let's just hope Flagship keep the pressure and get the really annoying bugs sorted out.
