Guitar Hero 5 has taken the top spot in this week's UK All Formats Chart.
Activision's newest strum-clicker is the first in the series to take the top spot, but it's not the only new title in the top three, with DiRT 2 entering the charts in second place.
These two appearances have pushed our beloved Batman: Arkham Asylum down into third, and that's being trailed by The Beatles: Rock Band, another new entry that's rocking out in fourth.
Of further interest are Championship Manager 2010, debuting at 13, and Mini Ninjas, which debuts at 15.
Which means, interestingly, Guitar Hero 5 has beaten The Beatles: Rock Band in this week's battle of the bands, despite (or, perhaps, partially because of) the furore about Kurt Cobain's avatar. With the two releases so close together, everyone's been wondering which game would come out on top, and now we know how it's gone for the first week. That's still not a bad showing from Harmonix, however, with Beatles: Rock Band taking a higher place than any prior Rock Band title according to Chart Track.
But enough from me: on with the charts.
