THQ's development house, Volition, is listing a new upcopming game on its website.

The game is listed as Secret Project X on the site and the developer has invited speculation as to what it might be via Twitter.

Red Faction and Saints Row are the developer's two biggest franchises, so we'd put money on one of them returning in 2010.

We know from a post in the official Saints Row forums that a third game in the series was in preproduction last year, although it is yet to be officially announced. We hope it is another SR game, after the blast we had with the gloriously OTT Saints Row 2.

I hope it's SR3. The second one was insane, I probably enjoyed it more than GTA IV. Hitman missions, customisation, dogfights, faeces-spraying. Wonderful.

SR3 and Red Faction 4 have already been confirmed via THQ's investor presentation from August 2009.
