European games publisher, ASCARON ENTERTAINMENT announce at Leipzig Games Convention, the launch of SACRED plus on the 15th October 2004. Priced at £19.99, SACRED plus is a 'producers cut' of the award winning role play game, which released earlier this year. Containing numerous updates to the core game, enhanced features, brand new sub quests and unique regions, the game offers players a refreshing and fuller role play experience in the world of Ancaria. Published by ASCARON ENTERTAINMENT and exclusively distributed in the UK by KOCH Media, SACRED plus will be in stores from the 15th October.

SACRED launched worldwide, March 2004 and was met with praise and acclaim from specialist press across the globe. The games critical success was mirrored in the sales performance, becoming a top ten title in the USA and selling over 120,000 copies. A similar success was found in Europe, with over 400,000 copies sold to date and top chart positions for France, Spain, Italy, Finland, Sweden, Poland and Russia.

The new version of the game not only brings it up to date with the internet update releases, but also adds many brand new features. Two completely new regions have been created, adding several miles of new game world for players to explore. Along with this are numerous new enemy types, brand new weapons, new skills and a new and terrifying 'guardian'.

Managing Director, Roger Swindells explains; "With Sacred plus, new consumers now get the benefit of added items, new regions and new weapons. The plus version will also be a free download for all current players in the community, giving back to the gamers an updated and even more attractive game play experience."
