GSC Game Worlds has confirmed that any port of S.T.A.L.K.E.R. on Xbox 360 will be released after the release of Call of Pripyat.
The reason for this delay, going by Strategy Informer's translation of the post, is due to a lack of manpower to fulfil their ambitions of the console port. GSC's Oleg Yavorsky didn't share much details, only saying "we think that whatever port of STALKER for Xbox 360 won't come out before the full release of the game's sequel."
As for porting Call of Pripyat, he just replied "at the moment, all are busy with preparing the PC version of the game. What comes after - we'll see."
GSC Game Worlds is one of few Russian game developers who are popular in both Russia and the rest of the West with STALKER.
The sequel is casts players as Agent Alexander Degtyarev, working undercover as a Stalker in order to investigate the disappearance of five military helicopters, and will be available later this year for the PC.
You can see what else we know about the title from our report when it was announced, and we also happen to know bitComposer acquired the global rights to the game.
