Rock Band 2 will be hitting the European Wiis in October.
You read that correctly. Rock Band 2 - which launched on Xbox 360 in America over a year ago - will finally be hitting European Wiis.
Rock Band 2 adds in a load of new songs, some slightly tighter mechanics, and a load of different game modes including online World Tour, Battle of the Bands tournaments, No Fail mode, and the Drum Trainer. Naturally, it will work with all Rock Band controllers and most Guitar Hero and other third-party controllers.
And to think this comes only a few short weeks after the release of The Beatles: Rock Band, which superseded its predecessor in so many ways that the 360 edition of Rock Band 2 (which was released in Europe back in November 2008) has just had a patch to add in some of the functionality included in that title.
Either way, Rock Band 2 is brilliant. So is The Beatles: Rock Band. The amount of time this has taken is nothing short of eyebrow-raising, however.
And for all of that, there's still no exact date. All we know is that it'll be out "this October" for an RRP of £29.99 GBP. So, hey, at least we're not going to suddenly discover it's October next year.
