That's why we've provided a breakdown of Fifa 12's finest players to coincide with our review of the latest entry in the long-running (and consistently improving) series.

Below we've listed the 20 best overall players alongside the best in a number of positional categories. The number on the left represents the player's overall ability ranking and is always out of a maximum of 100. 

Where there is a tie for 20th position we have listed all tied players.
