Okay, so modern takes on the Western concept are great, but you can’t beat a good old fashioned cowboys and Indians, wagon trains rolling, good, bad and ugly Wild West shoot out – and that’s precisely what Fistful of Frags is.

This is another Half-Life 2 mod (though you wouldn’t recognise the source game in a million years) and has seen a lot of work done to recreate the dust-covered romantic ideal of the Western frontier during the gold rush epidemic.

Everything you’ve seen in a Spaghetti Western is loving brought to life in this camp Wild West love in. Shutting yourself in an old cabin and barricading the doors for a Butch and Sundance style shoot out, defending against a railroad assault and exchanging hot lead among the rickety mine carts bringing the colour down from tham thar hills – it’s all right here in this epic Western brought to life.
