Dustforce released today on Steam

Indie developer Hitbox Team has released Dustforce today on Steam. The game sees you play “as an acrobatic janitor,” and challenges you to “leap and dash off walls and ceilings, and deftly traverse precarious environments” with a view to cleansing “each level swiftly and thoroughly to achieve mastery in this 2D sweep-‘em-up platformer.”
The official blurb goes exactly like this:
Over 50 levels varying in difficulty from elegant exploration levels to intense challenges for hardcore players.

McCaig: The whole entertainment industry is blending into one

“Movies and games will soon be the same thing.”
Speaking at today’s 2011 Develop Conference, Iain McCaig (principal designer and artist on Star Wars episodes one to three) believes that “movies and games will soon be the same thing.”
McCaig, whose first job in videogames was as a character designer on Lucasfilm Games’ (now LucasArts) The Secret of Monkey Island, believes this convergence represents the “most amazing time to be alive.”
His words came during Develop 2011’s Art Keynote, entitled ‘Showtime!’
