Twitch is the latest DDoS target to fall foul of lizards27 Aug 2014
Twitch.TV should probably consider putting some of that Amazon money towards better DDoS protection, as the streaming site is the latest to be attacked. At the time of writing, Twitch is down, another victim of the lethal LizardSquad.
Update: Twitch is back, apparently thanks to enough people sharing pictures of themselves with “Lizard Squad” written on their foreheads. Yes, really.
League of Legends has also been hit again, at least according to the latest broadcast by the reptilian rogues.
Sure enough, the LoL server status portal for North America currently says: “We are currently investigating an issue impacting our servers. Ranked Queues have been disabled and Loss forgiven has been enabled while we work towards a resolution. We apologize for the inconvenience.”
Not great news if you were planning to stream a couple of League matches, that’s for sure.
Meanwhile, Blizzard are still having problems with both Diablo 3 and Hearthstone. Not great timing, considering the new Diablo 3 patch has shown up today. The latest from Blizzard’s technical people is that they “hope to have services restored shortly.”

The DDoS attacks on PC games and services don’t appear to show any signs of abating. Since last week, games including Eve Online to Guild Wars 2 and all of Blizzard’s catalogue have been affected at one time or another. Will this week of lizard oppression ever end?Related to this story
