The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt’s unboxing video is a bit naff

witcher 3 unboxing

I’m not the biggest fan of unboxing videos at the best of times, and this one for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is a pretty good example of why.

Rather than having an excitable person talking for 10 minutes while opening up the box and carefully examining everything inside, The Witcher 3‘s unboxing video shows the Standard Edition of the game flipping itself open, and everything inside floats out. It lasts 30 seconds and is, basically, a very brief look at what’s in the box.

The Standard Edition of The Witcher 3 contains the game on DVD, a soundtrack CD, the developer-created “Witcher Universe – The Compendium”, a map of the game world, some stickers, and a sleeve. Which is actually really good for a standard edition, but unfortunately isn’t shown off particularly well in this video.

You can have a look at the video below, though the 35 minutes of gameplay footage released earlier might be of more interest. The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is due out on 24 February.
