humble jumbo bundle 2

The latest Humble Bundle – the aptly titled Humble Jumbo Bundle 2 – is offering quite a lot in the way of massive, life-consuming games.

As ever, the bundle is divided up into multiple tiers depending on how much you pay. Pay anything over $1 for The Incredible Adventures of Van Helsing: Complete Pack (which contains the first game, plus the Blue Blood, Arcane Mechanic and Thaumaturge DLCs), 2D zombie-escaper Deadlight, and Galactic Civilizations 2: Ultimate Edition (containing Galactic Civilizations 2 as well as the Dark Avatar and Twilight of the Arnor expansions).

But I’m going to assume that you’ve got more than $1 to spend. Well, if you pay over the average – which is $5.76 at the time of writing – you’ll also get 2D build-‘em-up Terraria, SNK’s 2D fighting title The King of Fighters XIII Steam Edition, and grand strategy-‘em-up Crusader Kings 2 (as well as the African, Russian, and Norse unit packs for the latter).

If you fancy spending even more, then shelling out $15 will get you all of the above plus the Age of Empires Legacy Bundle. This meaty package contains Age of Empires 2 HD, Age of Empires 2 HD: The Forgotten, and Age of Empires 3: Complete Collection. To put that into perspective, Age of Empires 2 HD is currently £14.99 by itself. Age of Empires 3 is still £29.99. So… yeah. That’s probably one of the cheapest ways for you to age a whole lot of empires, right now.

As ever, there are also more titles to be revealed before the bundle runs its two-week course. In short, everything listed above isn’t actually everything.

All told, then, this Humble Bundle is a bundle with something for everyone. I don’t think there’s a single title in there which I’d call outright bad, either, with pretty much every game being worth $6 alone. I dunno whether I’d pay $15 for the Age of Empires bits and bobs, but then I never really liked that series; to some, I would imagine it’s easily worth the price.
