The Elder Scrolls Online hits Steam at 50% off
If you wanted to play an Elder Scrolls-branded MMO that doesn’t actually play much like an Elder Scrolls game, but wanted it on Steam, rejoice! The Elder Scrolls Online is now on Steam.
In what is presumably an attempt to entice Steam users to pick it up (and, possibly, to entice previous players to pick it up again), it’s currently 50% off on the digital distribution service. Unfortunately, that percentage is a bit misleading, because The Elder Scrolls Online is normally priced at £50. So it’s £25. Which is a little cheaper than the launch price of most other games, and they don’t come with a monthly subscription fee.
Nonetheless, if this is a thing that you want on Steam, it’s now on Steam. Also available is the Imperial Edition (discounted to £41.99), an upgrade to the Imperial Edition if you buy the stand-alone game and decide you really want the extra stuff (£20), and a Palomino Horse. For a tenner.
The Elder Scrolls Online is currently enjoying a universal “thumbs down” user rating on Steam, but frankly, I imagine you already know whether it’s your sort of thing or not.Related to this story
