Everything you need to know about Rust.

Welcome, welcome to another IncGamers Podcast. This week, we’ll be talking about the Rust bust-up and giving a shocking number of inadvertent plugs to Dominos pizzas. They’re not even all that good. Anyway, should Facepunch have held off developing a second title while Rust is still in Early Access? Short answer: nah.

Meanwhile, October has become the scariest month for videogames. Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor, Dragon Age: Inquisition and Battlefield: Hardline have all fled the scene, leaving Alien: Isolation holding down early October on its lonesome. Probably not a bad thing to delay Battlefield though, eh?

In other EA-related news, Mass Effect’s team shared a few actual-ish details about the upcoming game in the series. Well, the reveal that “the Mako will be in it again” is about twenty times more interesting than the E3 non-video, anyway. Plus you can still play as a woman if you like, so that’s good too.

ESPN certainly seemed keen on their Dota 2 coverage, although stopped short of saying how many people actually watched it on their channel. More than they hoped for. But maybe they’d only hoped for about 500.

In games, there’s an awful lot of chat about The Crew and I enthuse about Dark Souls 2’s Crown of the Sunken King which really is very good.

Last month I spent about an hour in a Manhattan bar watching a spelling bee on ESPN. A spelling bee. Featuring children.

I’m just saying, having your event covered on ESPN isn’t necessarily a sign of impending mass popularity.
