Breach & Clear: DEADline pits soldiers against monsters29 Jul 2014
It doesn’t look like Mighty Rabbit Studios have been resting on their laurels, though. Where the original had your team of soldier men storming buildings and shooting terrorists in the face, Breach & Clear: DEADline has them… well, they’re fighting parasitic worms that are turning people into monsters. What this basically means is “lots of new and very unique enemy types”, which is probably more interesting than a man in a gun with a different outfit.
Breach & Clear: DEADline is also set to offer real-time strategy elements, although I’m not quite sure how. It apparently offers a Command Mode, which gives “greater on-the-fly decision making during enemy encounters” via giving you “full control over the entire squad”, which might mean something to people who played the original? I don’t know. In any case, you’ll be able to level up your soldiers and send them on side-quests to nab rare ammo, weapons, and gear.
General opinions on the original were, apparently, that it was really rather solid – if a little shallow. Perhaps these additional features, enemy types, side-quests, and so on will fix that issue? We’ll find out soon, I’m sure.
