PC players will get the proper version this time.

FIFA 15 on PC will have parity with the Xbox One/PS4 versions this year, EA Sports has confirmed. In a “PC features” post at the EA Sports site, the team states that “The PC version will include all the same core features coming to the PS4 and Xbox One versions of the game” and says it will run on the Ignite Engine.

Last year’s FIFA 14 on PC was the older 360/PS3 version of the game, for reasons that never really made a whole lot of sense. This announcement is positive news for PC FIFA players.

The post comes with some minimum and recommended PC specs for the upcoming FIFA 15, which you can see below.

Recommend Specifications:

  • OS: Windows V/7/8/8.1 -64-bit
  • CPU: Intel i5-2550K @ 3.4Ghz
  • RAM: 8GB
  • Hard Drive Space Required: 15.0 GB
  • Minimum Supported Video Cards: ATI Radeon HD 6870, NVIDIA GTX 460
  • DirectX: 11.0

Minimum Required Specifications:

  • OS: Windows V/7/8/8.1 -64-bit
  • CPU: Intel Q6600 Core2 Quad @ 2.4Ghz
  • RAM: 4GB
  • Hard Drive Space Required: 15.0 GB
  • Minimum Supported Video Cards: ATI Radeon HD 5770, NVIDIA GTX 650
  • DirectX: 11.0

More information about the game will be forthcoming at EA’s E3 2014 press conference on 9 June. There’s a pretty rubbish ‘teaser’ trailer too if you want to watch that. The full, proper trailer will be shown at the aforementioned press event.

GTX 650 for minimum required GPU and GTX 460 for recommended GPU? That don’t make any sense. In this case, a GTX 760 should be the recommended GPU.

    1. You’re right, that doesn’t really add up. Maybe they mixed up the min/max cards?

Oh, fair enough. I thought the 650 was slightly better than the 460, but I guess it’s the other way around. Another victory for sensible GPU numbering conventions, there!

  2. the problem is they like to rebadge old cards with the new number system, also a old previous gen gpu mid range gpu is can often still be better than a current gen lower midrange gpu which is what the 650 is.

THeir might be other advantages to the 650 its very low power if I remember rightly, personally if the difference is small I would get the new gen
