Borderlands: The Pre-sequel

More Borderlands action will be coming this October with Borderlands: The Pre-sequel.

Gearbox has announced that Borderlands will be returning on 14 October in North America and 17 October everywhere else. If you pre-order now you’ll also get access to the Shock Drop Slaughter Pit when the game releases which features “intense zero atmosphere combat against the fiercest enemies Pandora’s moon has to offer.”

A new “Moon Dance” trailer has also been released today which features gameplay and dancing. Yes, dancing.

From what I’ve seen thus far I’m not feeling to optimistic for this Borderlands release, but considering that the first 2 are my favorite games I’ll have to give it a go and hope it’s not too horrible. I’m concerned about the oxygen requirement, the deep focus of elements and their interaction with/without oxygen, and the low gravity (pretty much what makes this game different from Borderlands 2). I am excited about new characters, powers, and missions. I’d be more excited (and it would’ve been cheaper to develop) to see this games new characters as DLC for Borderlands 2 (and a big new DLC area like Tiny Tina was would’ve been perfect).
