Infinity Runner’s launch trailer depicts WEREWOLVES IN SPACE
I don’t know about you, but I find it hard to be cynical about any game which has a bullet-point listing WEREWOLVES IN SPACE as a feature.
That’s exactly what Wales Interactive’s Infinity Runner has, so obviously I’m going to be hugely upbeat about it. Infinity Runner casts you as a prisoner on a 150-mile long ship, trying to escape from both guards and a rather vicious werewolf. It looks sort of like a sci-fi Mirror’s Edge with elements of the endless runner genre, with you leaping, sliding, and – of course – running through the game’s 14 levels. And occasionally punching people in the face.
It’s also a game with full Oculus Rift support, 32-player multiplayer, and a story. I’m not quite sure what to make of it just yet, but Master Reboot was something a bit special, so I’m hoping to take a closer look at Infinity Runner before it launches on 2 June. That’s next week, calendar fans!
The Infinity Runner launch trailer can be found below. Werewolves in space, everyone! Whether or not that’s better than Werewolves of London, I don’t know, but we don’t have too long to find out.
