Goat Simulator patch 1.1 announced, will add whole new map7 Apr 2014
Coffee Stain Studios has announced patch 1.1 for Goat Simulator which will add a number of enticing, goat-based features. Due in “the middle of May,” patch 1.1 will add an entire new map for you to goat about on and the options for local split-screen multiplayer.
That new map will be “roughly the size of the original map,” so that should be plenty of additional space to cause havoc on. In addition, the Goat Simulator update will add “new goats” and “new achievements” to the game.
Coffee Stain says the planned patch update will be entirely free because “we’d feel bad charging for DLC when you can just download stuff for free at the workshop.” Presumably that would really get their goat. Thank you. I’m here all week.
Online multiplayer is unlikely to ever appear in Goat Simulator, as the developers say they’re unable to synchronise the bizarre physics across multiple, connected PCs. However, that doesn’t prevent local co-op. Patch 1.1 will add split-screen which, according to Coffee Stain, “should work.”
