Following the success of the small Hearthstone team Blizzard appear to be working on another title going by the name of Overwatch. There are absolutely no details on what the new game could be apart from what’s appeared in the trademark filing.

Based on the name alone, as that’s all there really is to go on right now, we’ll speculate that it’s some sort of military themed title, possibly a third person or first person action title. This would be outside of Blizzard’s usual offerings unless it was set in one of their existing universes such as StarCraft.

There is a job posting for a lead producer up on Blizzard’s site which comes with the usual job posting blurb of  “We can’t tell you exactly what the game is yet, but trust us, it’s awesome”. This posting could of course not even be related to this trademark filing but worth pointing out.

With the creation of smaller teams inside Blizzard following Hearthstone they may just surprise us with something new. Now that would be refreshing.

Thanks NeoGaf.
