DirectX 12 details will be rendered by Microsoft at GDC6 Mar 2014
With all this talk of Valve pushing for OpenGL and AMD’s Mantle API, Microsoft is reminding everybody that DirectX 12 is still a thing. A teaser page (oh boy, API collections have teaser pages now) from the company makes it clear that we’ll hearing more about DirectX 12 at this year’s Game Developer Conference in San Francisco.
For nearly 20 years, DirectX has been the platform used by game developers to create the fastest, most visually impressive games on the planet.

The inclusion of AMD, Nvidia and Intel logos on Microsoft’s announcement page suggests, as you’d expect, that those companies will be supporting the DirectX 12 APIs.Related to this story
