Final Fantasy XIV - 18

Did you play Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn? Did you let your account lapse, because you got a bit bored or a bit busy or because you’re an MMO player and thus finished all of the available content in two days? Well, now that it’s been updated to version 2.1 – with a PvP mode, a load of new quests, some new dungeons, and a whole load more – Square Enix would like you to try the game out again.

With that in mind, anyone who has a lapsed Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn account can log in for free from 8am GMT on 11 January, to 8am GMT on 13 January. That’s Saturday to Monday, calendar fans.

If you missed December’s news about patch 2.1, fear not: here’s a direct link to a thing I wrote about it. The short version is that it offers a metric shitload of content, with player housing, PvP, hard mode battles, main scenario quests, dungeons, treasure hunts, aestheticians, a Duty Roulette, and lots more.
