Blackguards tutorial videos explain the rules of The Dark Eye

Blackguards

Blackguards, Daedalic’s forthcoming turn-based tactical RPG, employs the rules of The Dark Eye pen-and-paper RPG to make its digital cogs turn. Naturally, pen-and-paper RPGs are complicated and terrifying. Good thing Daedalic are releasing a series of tutorial videos explaining how the game works and how it relates to the source books, eh?

The first of these videos explains the basic character classes: Fighter, Mage, and Hunter. You’ll get an overview on how each class functions and their strengths and weaknesses, plus a little bit of information on how you can customise them – although the latter will apparently be the focus of the next video.

Blackguards is currently on Early Access with the first four chapters of the game available, but the full version is due out next week on 24 January.

Looks pretty good, but in need of more content. More diverse classes and a good story line would seal the deal.
