The Vanishing of Ethan Carter gives the gift of gif
Three gifs. One game. That game is The Vanishing of Ethan Carter by The Astronauts, a first-person … well, actually, I don’t know. Looks quite exploration-ey to me. Also sounds like the sort of title you play alone, at night, with cats locked away so they can’t jump on you at the wrong moment and make you squeal like a small child.
It’s said to be “Inspired by the weird fiction stories and other tales of macabre of the early 20th century.” Which, you know, sounds promising. So, who wants to see some slow loading animated gifs?
Here’s one in which Occult Detective Paul Prospero (hey, he’s from Shakespeare) sees a g-g-g-ghooost train.
Next, there’s a fragment of a rocky path from The Vanishing of Ethan Carter’s opening.
Finally, we get a look at a creepy cemetery from what is said to be a later part of the game.
