There’s not much gamers won’t watch these days on Twitch and Mojang are keen to join the action with Mincecraft  which has proved popular viewing on the streaming service.

Today at Minecon in Orlando, Mojang and Twitch announced that Mojang is adding Twitch streaming support to the super popular block-fest. This means there will be less messing about with third-party tools to stream games directly to the service for others watch.

Streaming and viewing streams has proved a popular past time for gamers and developers are keen to make it as easy as possible to stream. It’s free game promotion after all.

Minecraft has struck a very powerful chord with the Twitch community,” said Matthew DiPietro, VP of Marketing, Twitch. “Its constantly escalating popularity illustrates that people love to watch video games outside of the headline grabbing eSports titles. Expect a watershed moment for both players and spectators once the ability to easily broadcast gameplay directly to Twitch goes live.”

Support it being added for both the Windows and Mac versions of the game but no release date has been revealed for the integration.

Minecon is running until the end of tomorrow and it can be viewed unsurprisingly on the Mojang’s Twitch channel.

If you have Minecraft, why not play it instead of watching someone else play it? It’s more fun you know. Just a thought.

I think it can be enjoyable to sit back and watch somebody else play once in a while. It gives me inspiration (and probably others too) what I should do next in the world of my own. Hopefully MinePick (http://minepick.uservoice.com/) gonna run their live show for gamers soon. Gonna try to participate there.
