SimCity Cities of Tomorrow - 12

I will grudgingly admit that this looks quite pretty, but then SimCity always did nice lights.

EA and Maxis have released a new set of screenshots showing off four new SimCity: Cities of Tomorrow regions, which… may or may not be free. It’s a bit confusing.

The exact quote from the Facebook page on which these screens appeared says: “Check out this gallery built by our Dev-Testers containing screenshots from the four free regions that will be available with the Cities of Tomorrow expansion pack.” If you get them when you buy Cities of Tomorrow, I’m not sure that counts as free. That’s like saying that the new¬†Diablo 3 expansion will contain a free character class and a free new Act. On the other hand, if they’re being made available for everyone at the same time as Cities of Tomorrow is released – even if you don’t buy the expansion – then that is free, but raises the question as to why they worded it in such a confusing way.

Oh, and obviously, none of these regions will feature bigger map sizes. Still: nice hills.

SimCity: Cities of Tomorrow is due out on 12 November.
