More GTA 5 for PC evidence surfaces in AMD Catalyst drivers

The PC GTA 5 mystery continues this week with more pieces of code snipped from driver files to indicate a release.

So far we’ve had PC indicators dug up from the console code, dodgy looking sacreenshots, the chap from Intel speaking out about it’s release. and other mummblings the past few weeks. This time the latest tease comes from the AMD Caltalyst  13.10 beta drivers drivers. With some nifty hex code editing the following pieces of text can were discoverered by Kkn00tn over on the Guru3d forums

<application Title="Grand Theft Auto V" File="GTA5.exe">
	<use Area="PXDynamic">HighPerfGPUAffinity</use>
</application>

It all looks pretty legit to us, and with the game now expected to hit the PC in its full glory hopefully next year. Rockstar are a right pain really. If it is, and we assume it is coming out on PC, why not just announce it? Any PC gamer that didn’t want to hold out by buying it for the console will have done so already (shame on you!).

If you are still tempted to pick up he console version, don’t. We expect GTA 5 to make it onto the PC some time in the first quarter of next year. Let’s hope it’s worth the wait.

Of course we don’t care if it’s coming out because we’ve already reviewed it on the PC.

Thanks DSO.
