Deus Ex: Human Revolution

Back when Deus Ex: Human Revolution – Director’s Cut was dated for the PC, I worried that the retail price would be a bit expensive if you already had the game and DLC. I was wrong.

A post on Square Enix’s European blog has community director Phil Elliott stating that there are various upgrade options available depending on what you already own. If you don’t own anything, then the full Deus Ex: Human Revolution – Director’s Cut package will cost you £12.99/€19.99/$19.99. If you own the base game, upgrading will cost you £6.99/€7.99/$9.99. If you own the base game and DLC pack The Missing Link, upgrading to the Director’s Cut will only cost £3.49/€3.99/$4.99.

Deus Ex: Human Revolution – Director’s Cut slots Tong’s Rescue and The Missing Link into the narrative, makes the boss fights less rubbish, refines the AI, tweaks the balance, prettifies the game, and adds eight hours of developer commentary. Worth £3.49? I think so, though you could certainly make an argument that a lot of the tweaks could probably be a free patch. I’d honestly be willing to pay that price just for the commentary, but then I’m weird like that.

Deus Ex: Human Revolution – Director’s Cut is out on 22 October in North America, and 25 October in PAL territories.

We have to pay to get those? This makes me more excited for Cyberpunk 2077 and the Enhanced Edition that CDP always gives away for free.
