Oh Goodi(son): Goodison Park added to FIFA 14
EA Sports have signed a deal with Everton Football Club to include Goodison Park stadium in FIFA 14.
Apparently, the deal makes EA Sports Everton’s “official gaming partner” until the end of the 2014/2015 season. I wonder how Gareth Bale feels about this.
This partnership also means that Everton’s players will look more realistic in the game itself, due to a “360-degree 3D digital head scan”. I would make some sort of joke about what you’d normally expect a head scan of footballers to reveal, but that would just be too mean for a Friday afternoon.
There’ll also be a an Everton-themed FIFA 14 cover available for download at the game’s 27 September launch, and a “very limited edition” of the game with an Everton sleeve will be available from the Everton One and Everton Two stores, as well as online on Everton Direct.
If you’re a supporter, you’ll be able to get a look at the game at the EA Sports Dugout at Goodison Park. It’ll be appearing at various matches, starting with the home game against Newcastle on 30 September.
There. I managed to do an entire football story without showing my complete lack of knowledge about the game, or even making a single joke about…
