Castle of Illusion

ALWAYS WITH THE SPIDERS.

The HD reimagining of the rather excellent Sega Mega Drive/Genesis platformer, Castle of Illusion Starring Mickey Mouse, is due out on 4 September. Gosh!

While it follows roughly the same basics as the original, there’s plenty of new stuff. The castle itself sounds like it’s now a hub area, most of the levels and boss fights have been redesigned somewhat, and it looks like there are sections in which you’ll be controlling Mickey in a manner other than as a side-scrolling platformer.

Castle of Illusion will cost you £9.99 on its 4 September release.

Ah this one of the games of my childhood, I played both versions (the master system one and the Sega Genesis one), I remember each level and bosses, btw that thing about remastered bosses is what is getting me excited. I quite enjoyed them, that Dragon Boss from the master system version was quite intimidating for me at the time, even tho the final boss was a total pushover and a boring fight. Meanwhile the Genesis one didnt have the dragon but the final boss fight was quite good.

Hopefully there will be some extreme difficulty options to set it extreme, I thought the game was quite challenging for me when I was a kid but now I would expect something far more difficult.
