Dota 2 tournament The International begins2 Aug 2013
Valve’s official tournament – with its grand prize currently sat at $1,391,590 USD – can be viewed through the Dota 2 client, via the official Twitch.tv stream, or at live “pubstomps.” Or, y’know, you could go to Benaroya Hall to watch it live, but if you’ve got a ticket to do that you probably aren’t reading this.
The schedule can be viewed over on the official site. Things kick off at 1PM PDT with a Wild Card Match, followed at 7PM PDT by the Solo Championship playoffs, and from there games will continue until the fifth day of the main event on 11 August. And don’t forget that, if you have a Compendium, you can get some virtual items while watching matches.
We won’t be fully covering The International – if you’re after blow-by-blow match reports and the like, you’ll unfortunately have to trek elsewhere – but I’ll likely try to keep you updated on any major happenings.Related to this story
