There’s apparently been a bit of an issue with the discount coupons for the newly released (and apparently brilliant) Toki Tori 2+, but developer Two Tribes has been in touch to apologise and to make amends.

A bunch of people (I suspect those who have a previous Two Tribes game on Steam, but I’m not entirely sure) should’ve received discount coupons for Toki Tori 2+, knocking its price down by another 10% after the launch discount of 34%. Unfortunately, things got a bit ballsed up, possibly because of the Steam servers being overloaded due to the start of the sale. Some people apparently got their coupons too late, and others didn’t get their coupons at all.

In an apologetic email, Two Tribes have said that the problem should be resolved within the next couple of hours, and to make sure everyone can use their coupon in conjunction with the launch discount, said launch discount is extended until 22 July – the end of the Steam Summer Sale. Considering it looks like it should’ve only been 48 hours, that’s not bad at all.

I did have a coupon, and I did use it to buy Toki Tori 2+, so I was presumably one of the lucky ones. Going by Peter’s review, it’s certainly worth picking up if you’ve got a few quid spare and fancy a clever, open-world puzzle-platformer.
