Bully for us: Take-Two files a new trademark for Bully31 Jul 2013
The application (via ), filed on 25 July, is somewhat wide-reaching, covering “computer and video game programs and software” and everything attendant with that, like downloadable videos related to the game. This certainly seems to imply that Take-Two are considering a new Bully game, if nothing else.
This is the first we’ve heard of Bully for awhile. The last time I recall it being mentioned was when it was explained that Rockstar Vancouver were put to work on Max Payne 3 rather than a Bully sequel, although even then, Rockstar implied they’d take another look at the title in the future.
Although it didn’t exactly set the gaming world on fire, I found Bully‘s unique setting and take on open-world games to be rather refreshing. Assuming that this is an indication that something’s in the works and not just Rockstar hedging their bets or refreshing their trademarks (as, sadly, I am not an expert in trademark law or application filings) I certainly wouldn’t complain about a sequel.
Your guess is as good as mine as to whether it’d ever hit PC, mind you. Fingers crossed, I suppose.
