Another bug hunt: Aliens: Colonial Marines patched

Aliens: Colonial Marines

We might not like Aliens: Colonial Marines here at IncGamers, but we do like our patch notes, and this new patch for the woefully broken Aliens: Colonial Marines has a few good ‘uns.

Coming under the heading of “AI Improvements”, we have:

  • Fixed an issue that could cause Xenos to walk upright on ceilings
  • Fixed a bug where AI marines would occasionally default pose if incapacitated from a melee encounter
  • Adjusted Xeno behavior to only allow for tail attacks when they’re on ceilings

Now, I haven’t played Colonial Marines because Peter took that particular bullet, but these patch notes make me think of a Xenomorph wandering upright along the ceiling, and then clawing ineffectually at the air when a marine wanders into range. And if that marine somehow gets incapacitated, rather than fall over, he’d just stand bolt upright.

The full patch notes are over here. I might see if I can make Peter play the game again, to find out whether these make it any less rubbish.
