Total War: Rome 2

It’s time to check if your PC gaming rig can handle Creative Assembly’s impressive looking strategy sequel Total War: Rome 2 with the reveal of the system specs. Don’t panic, most people should be able to play with no problem.

    • Processor:2 GHz Intel Dual Core processor / 2.6 GHz Intel Single Core processor
    • Memory: 2GB RAM
    • Graphics:512 MB DirectX 9.0c compatible card (shader model 3, vertex texture fetch support).
    • DirectX®:9.0c
    • Hard Drive: 35 GB HD space

The specs all seem reasonable but you’re really going to want to play this with a decent rig, take a look at this fantastic super massive screenshot from the Battle of Nile which is a whopping 30000 x 4087 pixels in size. Doesn’t it look rather gorgeous?

I do HAVE that amount of space, but it’s still kind of nuts. 35GB, jesus.

lol and it isn’t even an MMO, i would’ve expected this size on a huge MMO but a singleplayer game, no way.

I got the specs, built a new PC recently (but kept my old 6850 GPU since I didn’t intend to play GPU intensive games.) Now seeing 35GB HDD space.. that will bring me from 53GB space used to 83GB space used of this little 120GB SSD. Plus 20% has to be shaved off to prolong SSD life, so thats 83GB of 96GB taken.

Kind of scarey how much they want used up. I may reconsider pre-purchasing and wait for a review.
