5th Cell’s new Scribblenauts title, Scribblenauts Unmaskedteams Maxwell up with some familiar DC Comics faces and pits his magical notebook skills against some of the world’s most notorious villains. Such as Joker, Penguin and, oooh, maybe Sports Master. Or Crazy Quilt.

Anyway, you’ll be solving dynamically created puzzles called ‘Heroic Feats’ that the press release claims are “continuously generated” to extend the game’s replay value. These include ‘Brawls,’ where Maxwell will be helping out DC Heroes against some pesky foes, and fiendish ‘Challenges’ set by Mr. Myxyzptlk which can restrict the objects at your disposal.

The PC version will have a full Hero and Villain creator, stocked with thousands of items from the DC universe. Each of which can be given their own behavioural properties. Does this imply that you can give your hero some pants that help him speak French? Perhaps.

Scribblenauts Unmasked is due this autumn.
