Wargaming are getting ready to roll out their next update for World of Tanks which will take the game to version 8.6. This update will bring more balances to the game’s economy and bring new SPGs to the game.

Tier 8 SPGs are getting a promotion to tier X and new SPGs will replace them in the middle tiers. There are also more units coming, the Americans will receive the M44 and M53/55 artillery units,  the Soviets will get to play with the SU-122A and SU-14-1, Germans will receive the 10.5 GW Mk.IV(e), Pz.Sfl.IVb and G.W. Tiger, and finally the French are bolstered by the AMX Obusier automoteur de 105 and Bat.Chatillon155 (55) artilleries. Brits will not be left out, there’s also the addition of the A33 Excelsion.

As far as maps are concerned, a new Korean based map is being added, Pearl River,  and  revamped visuals and shading effects are being added to the existing Siegfried Line, South Coast and Malinovka maps.

“Update 8.6 is a major step in game balance enhancement and is really going to make SPGs players happy,” said Mike Zhivets, producer on World of Tanks. “Artillery gameplay is going to feel a lot more balanced with a normal ten tier structure, making advancing through that class of armor more comfortable for players.

  2. Whoops. Cheers Dead_Skin_Mask, my fault on that one. With so many damn tanks these days it’s hard to keep up.
