Firefall

Red 5 Studios is about to open up the beta test to one and all for their MMO FPS. Starting this Friday, a 48 hour beta weekend for Firefall will get underway. This is the first of three open beta weekends planned by Red 5 with the other two to follow in February and March as testing ramps-up.

“After successfully completing a few controlled stress-tests late last year, we’re excited to move into the next phase,” said James Macauley, Vice President of Development, Red 5 Studios. “This will be the first time that we’ve opened up Firefall’s servers to everyone. We’re really looking forward to gathering a bunch of new feedback and data that will help us build up to launch this year.”

No beta key will be required to take part in these open tests and numerous contests are also planned for each weekend to ease players into the game.

  • Skillshot Contest (Screen) – Screencap a stylish skillshot for a chance at being featured on the official Firefall Facebook page.
  • Community Unlock – Play during the weekend to unlock an exclusive, customized Battleframe decal.

Firefall is worth trying if you like a good slice of FPS action as we found out last year when we hopped into the action. To find out more head to this page.

  1. do know that this game is based on the fast-pased quake 3 arena speed, don’t play the game when you expect a FPS that works like CoD and the likes.
