Enter the mind-bending Antichamber on 31 January

18 Jan 2013  by   Peter Parrish

Your first clue that Antichamber is a bit unusual stems from the fact that it self-describes as a “psychological exploration” game. That means instead of finding new rooms you’ll be finding, like, your feelings, man. But you’ll also be finding new rooms.

It’s just that the rooms might loop back on one another and be thoroughly confusing. The “enormous, seamless non-Euclidean world” contains several hundred puzzles to confound your expectations, and you’ll have to master the use of a tool that can “create, destroy and manipulate matter” if you’re going to stand any chance of progressing.

Antichamber will be available on Steam from 31 January. Here’s an idea what it looks like.
