Ubisoft has announced that a standalone (no copy of the original game required) expansion for Might & Magic Heroes VI will be released in late February next year. The add-on, ‘Shades of Darkness’, will feature the return of Raelag from Heroes V and two new campaigns in the Might & Magic universe.

Expect to face resistance from the Dark Elf-led ‘Dungeon’ faction. Judging by the artwork above, they’re all auditioning to be Blood Bowl cheerleaders.

‘Shades of Darkness’ will be released on 28 February 2013. A bundle containing Might & Magic Heroes VI and the new expansion is planned for release in March 2013.

I got MMVI, but felt is was lacking somewhat in my expectations when compared to AoW, but its good to see they’re working on expanding MM series, they need to seriously balance the stats though lol.

I remember Tim being fairly underwhelmed by MMVI in his review, too.
