Your vision is augmented: Deus Ex texture mod released

After five years of hard re-texturing work, the ‘New Vision’ mod for the original Deus Ex has been released in its final form. The mod (which is 1.1gb in size) can be downloaded from Moddb.com right now, so if you want to re-play Deus Ex with much nicer textures than in the original 2000 release, now’s your chance.

“I’d like to sincerely thank everyone in the community for their support over the years; without you, I wouldn’t have had the motivation to continue working on this project for 5 years of my life,” says lead texture artist David Watts on the mod’s release blurb.

You can see a few examples of the new texture work, below. This mod only deals with environmental textures, so the people in the game will still look somewhat weird and out of focus.
