Ubisoft schedules Watch Dogs for 2013

held a financial call to investors today, during which CEO confirmed that the futuristic third-person title , which impressed with an E3 trailer this year, would be coming in 2013. He didn’t narrow the date down any further than that, but at least that’s a window to work with.

Watch Dogs will be coming next year,” were Guillemot’s precise words.

The company posted a net loss of 38 million Euros (around $49 million USD) for the first half of this financial year. Guillemot puts this down, in part, to massive marketing campaigns for Assassin’s Creed 3 and Far Cry 3.

That marketing effort may pay off, at least for the former title as Ubisoft confirmed that Assassin’s Creed 3 has sold (not just shipped) 3.5 million copies to date. Not bad, considering it still has a PC release coming up later this month.

Here’s how Watch Dogs looked at E3, running on PC technology.
