Crate Entertainment has issued another ‘State of the Game’ post on the Grim Dawn forums, updating people with the title’s general progress and momentum towards an Alpha release. The latter is probably what people are immediately keen to know, and the good news there is that the team is expecting an early 2013 transition into that phase (in-keeping with the late 2012/early 2013 target set for themselves).

When that Alpha does come out, it’ll be larger than previously planned, offering around five hours of play for someone who likes to dig in and explore (closer to three for someone who’s played through before, and maybe seven or eight for a person who wants to clear out literally everything).

You’ll want to have a read of the full post for all the other details, but in summary Crate has been adding more loot, more characters, more enemies and some actual quests to the Alpha build.
