Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 live streaming to Youtube – No mention of PC integration8 Nov 2012
Following news of EA’s Origin new live stream feature to Twitch, Activision has also announced that gamers will be able to live stream their Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 footage to Youtube. As soon as the game launches on 13 November console gamers can become an Internet media sensations by live streaming gameplay to Youtube viewers.
The odd thing about this announcement is there is absolutely no mention of the streaming option being available to PC gamers which would seem like an obvious feature for Activision and Treyarch to add to the game. As they say themselves:
With our competitive play and eSports initiatives, we wanted to deliver live streaming capabilities built right into Call of Duty:Black Ops II, because Call of Duty is not only fun and exciting to play, but we believe it will be just as exciting to watch.
Perhaps they are just not bothering to add the feature to the PC version as they think all PC gamers will have the know-how when it comes to live streaming on the intertubes. Still, very odd decision if that is the case.
Activision sound like they will also be be adding further streaming destinations by mentioning that “additional partners will be announced in the future”. So by that I expect we will see some some sort of Twitch integration eventually.Related to this story
