World of Tanks reaches 40 million users

The latest figures in from Wargaming indicate that the free to play tank title has reached a whopping 40 million registered users. At the same time, World of Tanks has set a new persistent users online record of 500,000 tank mad gamers.

Wargaming recently released the 8.0 update to the game which added new physics and with this latest update they are expecting further growth as they move closer to the launch of World of Warplanes next year.
