Jailed Arma 3 devs to remain imprisoned longer due to Greek strikes

The Bohemia Interactive developers being held by Greek authorities over charges of espionage are to be detained even longer as a result of a strike that involves the Greek judicial departments.

It was over a month ago that the two developers were arrested after allegations that they were taking photos of a Greek military base on the island of Lemnos, which is to be the setting of Bohemia’s upcoming Arma 3. The strike means that they won’t now be released until at least 20 October.

The detained pair’s lawyer has released a short statement on the matter:

“As many of you know, the justice system in Greece is on indefinite strike. These strikes last at least until October 20. According to Greek law, a case has to be on trial within 120 days after arrest.”

If found guilty of the charges, both men could face a maximum of 20 years in prison.
