The Secret World reshuffles its creative team
Funcom is doing a bit of reorganising in its creative team at the head of The Secret World. Former senior producer Ragnar Tørnquist will now take the role of creative director, while Joel Bylos is the new game director. Scott Junior will be taking over senior producer duties.
Previously, Bylos was The Secret World’s lead content designer. Of the appointment decision, he says “I am very proud of what we as a team have created with The Secret World, and it is truly a brilliant canvas that will allow us to create more groundbreaking MMO experiences for many years to come.”
From this point onwards, the plan is to focus on expanding The Secret World’s story and introduce new areas (like the forthcoming New York raid) to the game.
“Joel and I have worked together for many years, and I cannot think of anyone more suited to maintain the vision and lead the game going forward than him,” Tørnquist adds. You can read more of his thoughts on the restructuring in this forum post.
