Revolution will make Beneath a Steel Sky 2 after all

Originally, Revolution Software’s intent to make Beneath a Steel Sky 2 was tied to the stretch goals of its Broken Sword: The Serpent’s Curse Kickstarter project. That effort raised more than enough money to fund Broken Sword ($775,000 USD when $400,000 was aiming for), but fell short of the $1 million USD Revolution felt it needed to justify a confirmation of Beneath a Steel Sky 2.
As it turns out, the success of the Kickstarter campaign itself has been enough to convince Revolution that a sequel to the classic adventure game would be a good idea anyway.
“We’re delighted by the recent level of interest in a sequel to Beneath a Steel Sky and are currently discussing design ideas for this project which we plan to go into development following the release of Broken Sword – The Serpent’s Curse,” says Revolution co-founder Tony Warner.
Beneath a Steel Sky 2 will be developed for PC, Linux, Android, iOS and OSX.
