Mass Effect Trilogy package will bring original title to the PS3

EA has entered full ‘reissue, repackage’ mode with the Mass Effect series, announcing a trilogy collection featuring all three games in the saga for release this November. It’ll be available for $60 USD on PC, Xbox 360 and PS3 – which means that the PS3 will finally be getting a version of the first Mass Effect.

PC and Xbox 360 editions of this trilogy are scheduled for 6 November, with the PS3 release to come at a later date. There’s no mention of any DLC in the announcement, which leads me to suspect that only the base games will be included in the bundle (though this isn’t confirmed).

Mass Effect will be coming to the PlayStation Network as a separate download too, for those people who’ve already got the latter two games. This stand-alone release hasn’t been given a price.

In addition to all the above, EA has decided that 7 November will be ‘N7′ day, accompanied by “updates and announcements for a variety of in-game, online and live events” at MassEffect.com.
